Muhammad Omar was born on April 19, 1960. In his profession, he is known as Omar Sharif. He was a Pakistani comedian, director, actor, and producer and was considered one of the great comedians of the subcontinent.

Early life:

Omar Sharif was born on April 19 in Liaquatabad, Karachi to an Urdu-speaking family

Career , stage work:

Omar Sharif started his career by working on stage in Karachi for the first time at the age of 7 years. Omar Sharif became a famous star of the time when he started recording his stage dramas. He got real success in this work.

Awards:

For Mr. 420, Omar Sharif received the National Award for Best Director and Actor in 1920. Mullah Omar Sharif was the only person to receive four awards in one year. He also received ten awards.

Fake news of the death:

News of Umar Sharif's death was circulating on social media in 2017 but then his son Jawad Umar soon denied the news and said that his father was alive and well but he died again in September. False news spread.

Omar Sharif's illness and death:

On September 9, Wasim Badami, a well-known Pakistani television host, and news anchor took to his Instagram to ask Imran Khan to provide him with treatment from abroad for Omar Sharif's cancer, when the video surfaced on social media.


 Indian actor Dalir Mahinda also requested Imran Khan to treat Omar Sharif. On September 9, the Pakistani government formed a medical board to decide whether to send him abroad for treatment.


So he was given a visa to the United States on September 16 to get his treatment. The Sindh government approved Rs 40 million for his treatment but he died on October 2, 2019, at the age of 9 in a German hospital in Nuremberg.

Influence and legacy:

Omar Sharif was called the king of comedy. Famous Indian comedian Johnny Lever called Omar Sharif the god of Asian comedy while Indian comedian Kapil Sharma expressed his condolences on his Twitter and said goodbye to the legendary world of Omar Sharif.


 Pakistani politicians like Imran Khan, Saeed Ghani, Fawad Chaudhry, Maryam Nawaz, Asad Umar and Shahbaz Sharif also expressed their condolences on the death of Umar Sharif.
